On Interpretation

Consider that the hill depicted in these cards might be the same hill.

  • If you're interested in that then you might also make note of the hills' height, or other elements.


Elements
Pick some.  Examples with two types:

  • good/evil

  • up/down

Three types could be:

  • past/present/future

Systems with four include:

  • spheres/stars/snakes/keys

  • fire/water/earth/air

  • fire/ice/slime/candy

    • They don't need to be homogeneous; you can add lumps.


Start
Set the setting and name some principals.

  • Asking questions can be a good place to start.
     

Dichotomy
Disclose two seemingly irreconcilable states.  For instance:

  • blue/green

  • left/right

  • win/loss

Broken
Tools are needed to move forward.

Balance
Use the tools, like a mechanic, to calibrate properly.

Adversity
Progress is hindered.

Transcendence
Synthesize wisdom from lessons learned.

Influence
Means and methods become second nature.

Accomplishment
Gain a feat.

Devastation
Flip two coins.

  • HH: Double hindrance.

  • HT: Suspended in tension.

  • TT: Obstacles crushed.


Completion
Satisfy the arcs using the Star, Moon, and Sun.

  • Declare win or loss.
